Q: So we're camping, what is the campground like?
First off, the campground at Songer is very simple, there really are no real roads. This is NO sewage or electricity on the campground. Basically it's a huge field where we set up camp in any way we want. Most cooking is done around the fire or around a propane grill (if you choose to bring one). Don't be scared ladies there is a bath house with toilets and showers. There is also a store and a bar
Q: How much alcohol should I bring, can I get more down there?
A: This is a very important question and I feel that I should have answered this question first, but anyways here's the skinny. If you plan to drink hard liqour, bring enough for the whole trip, there really isn't where to go to get more. If you are drinking beer they do sell beer at the store, but don't expect anything exotic, just your traditionals.
Q: Who's driving?
A: This question is still yet to be determined. Depending on how many people are going and who is willing to drive and how many people each vehicle can accomodate, we will decide the drivers upon full payment by all of our group members. Here's an incentive for you, if you are thinking about being a driver, have all of your passengers pay for your gas. I mean, shit, thats the least the could do for you, you're cartin' their asses down there, safely, right?
Q: What else is there to do, other than whitewater rafting while we're down there?
A: There is actually a lot of things to do. If you wanna spend more money Songer offers rock climbing (starting at $70), horseback riding (starting at $49), snorkeling ($30), mountain biking (starting at $70), ATV rental (starting at $129), and fishing (starting at $75). But for those of you who want other things to do that neglects the use of money there are a couple beaches in the area, and some D-I-Y hiking and cliff diving. Don't worry, as a group we'll have plenty to do!
Q: What is this trip going to be like, do you have any pictures or videos of your last trip?
A: Well, yes I do! If you would like to see some pictures of our trip last year please click on this link to see The Wakka 2006. And for some video of the trip click here to see our video created by Songer.
