Tips and Ideas

What should you bring? I don't really care what you want to bring, really I don't. But if you would like to be somewhat comfortable during the trip here are a few things I'd bring...

  • Summer clothes
  • Hoodie
  • Bathing Suit
  • Underwear
  • Socks
  • Water Shoes
  • Food
  • Tent
  • Sleeping Bags
  • Pillows
  • Booze

I'm not an expert or anything, I've only done the whitewater rafting thing a few times before, but here are a few tips I've learned...

  • Bring water shoes to wear while rafting (Note: YOU WILL GET WET!)
  • Bring enough food, there really isn’t anywhere to go, sorry no Taco Bell
  • Bring enough alcohol, it’s a sad thing to see you sober because you “ran out”
  • Don’t fight with your lover, we’re not in high school
  • Have a good time
  • Take pictures, not because West Virginia is scenic, but because you’ll have an image of your friend puking on himself as you notice that somehow his pants is filled with mustard.
  • Please make sure to tip your rafting guide. A decent tip per person is $10. So $80 a raft to your guide. These guys are taking a chance with you and make your whitewater rafting trip the fun and safe experience, please tip them!
  • Pack lightly (mainly directed to the women), we're camping its ok to touch dirt and where the same pair of underwear twice
  • If you bring high heels, I will strictly enforce the rest of the group to ridicule you the entire trip
Other than that, talk to you all soon!
